Comparisons Part I

In Taiwan, I will without fail smell sewerage.
In Australia I will without fail smell fresh air.
In the USA, I will without fail smell body odor (in subways etc).

In Taiwan, I would buy an ice tea for $1 ( with a huge variety of flavours)
In Australia, I would buy Ice tea for $3 ( restricted to only one flavour and is warm at the time of purchase)
In USA, I would buy Ice tea for about $1.3 (650mL cans)

In Taiwan I would spend about $2-$3 for a satisfying meal.
In Australia I would pay $12 for a satisfying meal.
In USA, I would pay $10 for a satisfying meal (super sized).

In Taiwan, no one understands my English.
In Australia, I am understood.
In USA, no one understands my Australian accent.

In Taiwan, a standard train ride would cost a little.
In the USA, a subway ride left my wallet empty.
In Australia, the trains aren't even worth considering.

In Taiwan, I have no access to TV
In the USA, my thumb was sore from channel surfing.
In Australia, I have 5 channels that work, and only 4 of them work when it rains.
