Adventures of Nananu~: The Basketball Legends

As most of you know, Colin is my cousin. During our childhood years, we would spend a lot of time at our grandma's getting up to all sorts of mischief. When I was around... grade 10 or 9 my parents went on a long term overseas trip and dumped us at our grandmas. I brought over my comptuer as I knew there wasn't much to do over there. Colin came by to keep us company and we would spend hours playing nba live 2000 exploiting all the bugs of the game.

One day we decided to put our nba finesse on the computer into practice. We strolled down to the park to shoot some hoops. Unfortunately when we got there , there were these gangster looking kids already playing there. Being Asian, skinny and weak we decided we didn't want to confront them at all and decided to walk to the corner store instead. Being Asian, skinng weak as well as POOR we had no money, but we didn't care because we didn't want to get beaten up by the gangster kids. Anyways it was mutually decided that we would casually stroll to the store and camp there for 20 minutes and hope that the gangster kids would go off and do something else. As we walked towards the store we heard a yell

Gangster Kid,"Hey, you guys wanna play?"
Colin " Ummm... Yeh.. Ok sure, we're just going to go buy something first"
Ivan *starts to perspire"

After the brief conversation we walked into the corner store, stood there for 5 minutes and walked back out. That was most probably the longest 5 minutes of my life, as we didn't want to look like idiots.

We decided to leave the store to take on the kids. I remember asking colin " what happens if tehy asked us what we bought, we're going to be screwed" Luckily they aren't as observant as us. We stepped onto the court and got ankle broken by this streetballer kid. We still managed to win one game however, because I decided to do a driving layup while one of the kids was tying his shoe lace!

Anyways, what I learnt was:

1) Michael Stewart cannot do freaky fadeaway jumpers in real life.
2) Nba live 2000 does improve your game.
3) Never pretend to buy something.

If you want to see the footage of the match, purchase this DVD on amazon. I think we are in the middle somewhere.
